"I Love…"
An English fill-in-the-blanks poem based on "Love Those Little Red Potatoes" by me
I love babies and cats and cuteness and the allure of shiny things and people with open minds. I love me more than you and mirrors and people with open minds and fame. I love people with open minds and the color emerald green and stringed instruments and the seeming contradiction of singing music with no vocals. I love colored lights. I love books and math and people with open minds and philosophy. I love the Renaissance age and the scratch of a good pen as it writes and people with open minds and colors and words and the name Tobias. I love people with open minds. I love messing with people’s heads and lying and acting “out of character” and the look I can only get from doing that. I love how everybody in this school knows who I am, but nobody knows me. I love happy depression and self-depreciation and the color of my blood and people with open minds and masochistic tendencies and emotional turmoil. I love Saturday morning cartoons and SNICK with the orange couch and the Mill Race and getting upset when the toy isn’t in the box! I love anti-sociality. I love dragons and angels and people with open minds and mecha. I love contradictions and chaos and logic and order. I love people with open minds, but most of all, I love Heather Wilken (in a strictly platonic sort of way).
I tried to be a bit unconventional in filling in the blanks, and I think I did well at showing my fracturedness. It's more obvious in the real copy, 'cause I went all out with the fonts. Almost very thing that I love has a font different from the base font, and a few things are multi-colored. It's pretty cool.
And I'm geting a picture of Heather to scan and put on the page eith the poem from her.
And then we're going to watch an Esca tape so that she has some idea of what I keep blathering about.

People suck.
Yes, I know that's obvious. Yes, I know that it's not any new development in my philospophy. What it is, however, is new measures of suckiness.
See, Heather and Shannon have been freinds whith a certain guy for a while. Up until recently, I walways thought he was kinda annoying. Recently, I've gotten to know him a little better, and he's not so mush annoying now as he is... energetic and loud. He's actually a somewhat cool person.
And someone recently said the cruelest, stupidest thing ever. To him. And somehow, I find myself sympathizing with the guy, when less than three months ago I couldn't stand him.
Maybe it's because people in the school recently started to assume he's gay (which he's not), and some guys followed him and a freind, from what I gather, threatiningly.
And then he, while bored, drew on his hands. I draw on meself when I'm bored, too, which makes the following even more strange, 'cause nothing like it has ever happened to me... Anyway, in the lunch line, a couple girls saw that he had drawn on his hands, and were making comments about how "weird" and "goth" it was (Which it so totally wasn't. Goth is not boredom-inspired artistry by an artistic person.).
But wait! There's more!
A teacher, yes, a teacher, interrupts and says "He's not goth, he's just a **Insert derogatory stress here**fag."
Oh, yeah. That's gonna make the kid feel better. Even if her were (which he's not), it would be completely uncalled for.
And Heather has already gone to guidance to try to get him fired, or at the very least, punished. (And he should be fired. He's already made racist comments in the past...) I wanna say something too, but I'm gonna talk to Heather im person beforehand. Al I have is what's on her blog, so it may not be the complete complete story.
Oh, and now the guy's been talking about killing himself. Not that I ever would have guessed based on his behavior at school, which is as energetic and almost-annoying as usual.
And if nothing happens to the teacher, I will have Heather distract him during summer gym so that I can maim him without him seeing me, because he deserves it. Hell, even if he's punished, I may have Heather do that for me. If only I had him for gym right now instead of the other teacher... **Fantasizes about kicking his ass**
So much for temporary calmness...

Mreh.
I din't get a part.
However, I can work backstage if I want. Which I do. Because I was talking to someone who's done HArlequins before, and it turns out that HPG isn't pointless. He's Tech Guy.
And the letter I got today that told me that (Mreh) I didn't get a part was signed & addressed by him, and he has really gay/girly/whatever you want to call it handwriting.
But I din't get a part... **Sniff**

English = done
History = due Wed., not very far (got a ton of pictures already, but I need to make 30 notecards with 1 picture & 4-5 sentences, in 8 different sub-topics dealing with WWII, and I hae an Academich Challencge banquet tomorrow night, an hour of violin Tuesday, and a band banquet Tuesday. Sorta sucks.

I'm on page 15 right now though. It's not too bad.

Willage: he once seemed a tool.
We all thought he was quite the fool.
Then he went to France,
And took off his pants.
Now Spy!Will seems less stupid than cool.
An Alias limerick. By me. Semi-spoiler-y, but not enough to actually give away any key info. (It will (hee!) however, probably torture Elusion until the sedcond to last episode of the season. 'Cause that's how long he's gonna have to wait for it to make complete sense. And Heather and Shannon and Anne will never get it because they don't watch Alias and are missing out on the Best. Show. Ever.

Whee! Yessirday, I auditioned for The Wisard of Oz at Harlequins, a local theater... place... thingy that puts on a younger-person's show every sprummer. Ithink I did well. I was even complimented on my reading by someone I've never seen before in my life. (That's a good thing. They have no reason to lie to make me feel better.) I'm not exactly sure who's directing. The auditions were run by four people, two of whom I know aren't directing (Or at least, they won't be credited as director in hte programs and such). One is the choreographer, who reminds me of... someone relatively famous. I can't remember her name, 'cause I'm not sure if I ever knew it, and whatever I saw her in, I saw a while ago. The guy doing the music highly resembled Tobey Maguire, but not enough to really be any more than not ugly. (Sorta harsh, but true. I mean, I've only been around him for, like, two hours, so...) There were two others, and I think the girl (? Their still at the age where "girl" seems too young to describe them, but "lady" or "woman" seem too old) is the director. Thus, I'm not exactly sure why nosebleed guy (I'll explain) was there.
So, the auditions were relatively simple. We were split into groups, and went between sections before doing onstage readings. The choreographer person had us do something simple to see how we move (There isn't much dancing in the show. I hope I get in the Jitterbug, though. It's the coolest song in the show. I think. I've only seen the music, and the accurateness of notes in my head without ever hearing the music is only so-so. But the rythms are very heavy on the syncopation and jazziness, so... I wish they hadn't cut it from the movie. The scene is cool, two. I mean "If you've got this far, you're lost.", the Tim Man's "no such thing as spooks" **Scream** bit is cool... But this is a sorta long parenthetical thing, so), and then we went and read.
Maybe-Ddirector and Hot Pointless Guy are running the reading. As I notice HPG's... well... hotness, he's seeing all of us for the first time. He, as far as I could tell, was looking at me last. Then... nosebleed. ^____^ (However, I think he may be taken by Music Tobey. Maybe. Just 'cause they're heavily involved in theater, HPG seems British, and MT is sorta (emphasis on the sorta, mind you) lispy & knew tons of crap about music and singing and all that doesn't mean a thing. **Tries to convince self of that**) The nosebleed is quite... severe, and it lasts almost the whole time we were reading scenes, meaning he wasn't around much. He sorta tried to hear, but he had to be near paper towlels and such. There were some really good actors/singers/etc. in my group. But there was one girl who had some (a lot of) trouble emoting. She could read what was on the page, but it was just words. So that's over, and we sit around a little while while the people upstairs sining finish.
We go up there, and MT is sitting at a keyboard. We all go in, pick up music books, and sit down. (I got the chiar. Most everyone else got the couch, but Unemoter Girl had to sit on the floor, and 'LilNoah (One of the few.. erm only... people whose name I got while there. I added the 'Lil, 'cause, well, he'syoung. At least, for the group I was with. There are younger kids there, but they haven't picked up on emoting or projecting, as far as I saw. HEnce, he, being young, but able to act, is 'LilNoah.) was on the arm of the couch/leaning against a file cabinet/on the floor. We did a simple warmup, figured out our ranges, for those of us not in choir/who hadn't been told their range by the new choir director running the musical for her first time ever (and can't play piano). Then, he had us sing part of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (without emoting or trying to be Dorothy) , to hear how we sounded. 'Kinda questionable choice, if you ask me, but I always look too deep at these kind of things, so... Besides, the part he had us sing has an ocatve jump, & some pretty deep stuff, as well mostly easy range stuff, so it does teas one's vocal capabilities somewhat. While others were singing, I was looking through the book (hence my finding the Jitterbug and the coolness of it). I sang, and did well, especially for me. I think. I've never actually sung that particular song, intending to sing well, so.. And I didn't have to drop the way low note, didn't screw up on the jump, and "did a good job of not trying to be Dorothy." ~_^
Then we went down, waited for them to finish with the young'un's stage readings, and started with us up there. I had fun, especially with the Jitterbug lead-in/Haunted Forest scene/whatever you want to call it. Its quite funny, and I had very different (I think) characters for the Cowardly Lion (Gee, who didn'y expect they'd have me read for that...), Tin Man, and Scarecrow. And every time we read it, the group I was up there with had no problem with synchronizing "I'd turn back if I were you." without saying anything or gesturing. We probably never had the best possible group up there all at once, but there were plenty of good dorothy's, a perfect Scarecrow(-ette), I think. she may have overdone it a tad, but that's easily fixed, a couple good Lions, and the Tin Man was never really good or bad, 'cause everyone pretty much did it the same. (So it was good or bad, but it was all equal.)
I wasn't called back, but I sorta wish I had been, just so I could've done more. The people there last night were all cool, and I want to get to know all the people who were running the auditions better. I'm sure I have a part, and I hope it's in the (as I call them) "Big Four", though one of them is obviously not a choice. (The "Big Four being Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion.) (And no, I don't plan on ever calling them the "Big Four" again. Don't ask me why I did.)
So... Yeah.

Woo! (?) The track team just got 100 consecutive dual/tri (THere's only one tri meet a season, so someone decided to count it as two duals) meet wins! And I played a part in htat! Today was a tri meet, so four places got points, and I got fourth in vault 'cause the big great vaulter guy didn't clear anything when he came in. And because the other two teams didn't have vauslters, they lowered opening height to 5'6". I'm a really pathetic vaulter... I didn't get 6'6"... (Had someone felt it neccisary to teach me how to turn... But they didn't. So my ass hit the bar. Fuckers. ^_~)
Wait... I helped a school athletic team do something big and important? Ahhh!
Wait... the only sports ignored more than track are swimming (undeservedly, I might add) and tennis ('eh. You like it or you don't. If you like it, you're on the team, if not, you're not gonna go watch the matches. There's no middle ground.)... and if you want to consider wrestling a sport, then that, too... At least I didn't help the football team or something like that.

Visionary, revolutionary, vigilante - these descriptions all fit you well. You are thoroughly disgusted with society and humanity as a whole, and you have several rather diabolical plans to reshape it to fit your designs. You're probably a loner, and most people think you're crazy. That's just because they don't understand, though, and you'll show them someday anyway. Heh heh heh. You are known to become very passionate about many causes, have torrid love affairs, and be seen as a either a demagogue or a hero to the proletariat masses. |

Nooo!!!
Four months!
But it was an excellent, excellent episode.
Oh, right. I'm talking about Alias. I won't say anything specific unless Elusion wants to be spoiled or doesnt' watch, 'cause I know Alias is behind in Australia.

I'm so dead. Stupid train.
Yesserday was state concert band competition in Lima. Lima, which is not anywhere near Sandusky. At all. We go. Bus ride there is boring until we get food. After food, Heather and I start talking, and she actually listens for a change. The whole way from food to the high school place thingy. We play. It's, like, the best we've played our music ever, We go to sight reading. We make a few minor mistakes, which the jusdge points out. Considering that the sight reading judge's job is rip you to shreds, we thought we did good. Especially because for a large part of a song, there're about 5 independent rythms running, not counting the melody. We hit them all right away.
We change back to normal clothes. O already found out our ratings and such by his inhuman band director powers of information getting. I, II, and III on the floor, III in sight reading. I don't get it either. I can see getting a II in sight reading, I can see getting a II on the floor, but IIIs? No. We did not deserve IIIs. Especially considering one of the floor judges gave us a I. How can two people listening to the same music have such different opinions of how well it was played? (They might have differing opinions on the music itself, but they shouldn't about how it was played, to that degree...)
Then we find out that Wind (the better band) got a II overall as well. Which makes absolutely no sense, because they totally rocked and are, like, the only high school band in existance that I think could pull off Jupiter, if they were to play it. The f**kin' kicked a**!
And then on the way home, as I'm talking with Heather even more, we have an unscheduled rest stop, and get stuck by a sllllllooooooowwwwww moving train. We were supposed to be home around 11:15 last night. We got back today. I got home at about 12:30, and had to wake up at 6:30 to be at school by 7 to go take a standardized test of some sort that I can never remember the name of. I took the Geom. test. It was easy. Unfortunateyly, I was very tired, and didn't want to be awake, let alone taking hte test. But it was easy, and I did well. So feh.

So feh.

Butterfly: Spry, cheeky and flirtatious! You love Asian pop culture and thrive on Pocky and candy colours. You enjoy attention lavished upon your pretty self. You want a partner who knows how to have fun. No wallflowers for you! What's your DDR theme song?
Awwww yeaaaahhh...
And I didn't even have to manipulate the quiz!

Waste of summertime...
**Dances**
I is very, very happies! You know why?
I just totally took the biggest step to finishing Heather and my argument.
I got [MIF]'s screen name. Heather doesn't have it. I can now speak to [MIF[ in private. When he's on. He said that he's not on much when he gave me it, but I;m on quite a bit (when I'm home), so yeah.
But most importantly, **To Heather** HA! Oh, and HA! again! A big, fat, honkin HA! to you, Heather, big fat honkin HA! to you...
But your new haircut/color and such is nice. And, as I've said before, you look thinner now. (And I've stopped laughing inwardly when I see you, too!)
