Well, I found a .zip file containing a .mid file for every movement of the Planets, and I now won't have to rely entirely on my memory to review each movement. I'll review them in order of how much I like them. Right now, I just have a top 2, because I love both those tracjks. The rest is great, but I haven't really gone comparing.
First will be Mars, the Bringer of War. Then Jupiter, the bringer of Jollity. After that, I don't know.
If anybody knows where to find an MP3 of Mars, let me know. And Jupiter too, if you feel like it.
And there's just something about going and seeing an orchestra that's different from hearing one on a CD. (Or on a record, as someone in my family owns "The Planets" on a record. Now to pester my parents until they fix the record player that's been broken since I was like 5.) I don't know exactly what it is, but I need to do that more often. Unfortuantely, the local symphony's season just ended, and theor first performance of the next season is in October. Feh.
