Sorry for the lack of a Band Camp Update yesterday, it'll be up today. I hope.

Today was picture day. That's right, the second day of school, and it''s picture day. Wheee....

Well, Geometry isn't as bad as I thought it'd be.. the lack of light is because half the lights were turned off, and Mrs. Cummings isn't as much of a... strict person as she seemed. We got to use markers today. ^__^

However, in History, I am, as Heather would say, "surrounded by stupid." I'm gona hate that clas....

**Ahem**

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY! WHY IS SCHOOL SO HORRIBLE THIS YEAR! IT WAS SO FUN LAST YEAR!

Thank you for suffering through that. Now, period by period, I shall tell you haw absolutely horrible school is this year, starting with the hour-long homeroon at the beginning of the day that screwed up the schedule.

Homeroom: Well, besides the fact that it was an hour long, we were given agendas that are to be used as hall passes. The agendas are the same ones we were given in middle school, only smaller, and with pages in back where teachers sign, excusing you from the room. Can anybody say "bad idea?"

First Period (Hon. English 2): Great. I get to start the day with Hancy. Wheeee.... I'm fortunate enough to have gotten on her good side, having worked on the fall play, having been in Drama Club, and having been in the Christmas play. However, her class has a huge workload, and I'm still going to be there when she yells at people that aren't on her good side...

Second Period (Keyboarding): One of two good classes. Mrs. Smith is cool, and the class shouldn't bee all that hard, considering I type OK, and the basis of the way I type is the correct method...

Third Period (Hon. Geometry): I am going to hate this class, especially after having Moyer last year. I've also lost the only other person who understands me when I try to explain something to another period of the class. Also, I'm not as good at geometry as I am at algebra. On top of that, there's Mrs. Cummings non-Mrs. Moyer-ness, and the room itself. There's no natural light, and it's one of the dimmest rooms in the school.

Fourth Period (U.S. History): The class and teacher are fine, but my classmates... I'm probably going to be the only one who really knows what they're talking about in there, besides Obie. I've got a class full of talkative not-so-intelligent girls, and dumb wise-ass guys. Wheeeeee.....

Fifth Period (Band): It's going to be fine, but it's not last year at all... I'm by a hyperactive guy who couldn't stay at attention or quiet if his life depended on it, and two people away from me is Merner, who was not at band camp, and consequently, knows absolutely nothing about marching or the forms.

Lunch (5C): Holy crap! There's more people in one of the two lines now than there were in all of the cafeteria last year! I didn't even get to open my Doritos! (Okay, I got to eat 1 chip, but it's pretty damn close to not being able to open them...) Last year, I had too much time left after eating, and would usually mix together whatever non-solid leftovers I had. (Milk, ketchup, etc...)

Sixth Period (Latin 2): The other good period. Mr P. is cool, we don't do much work, I undertand the language, it's all good...

Seventh period (Hon. Chem. 1): It's Madame Cleo! Oh wait, that's just Mrs. Odafe... We got free dividers, pens, and higlighters from her, but that's not going to help us understand her. She sounds like Madame Cleo, and looks a little like her too, for that matter. Well, she talks faster, so it's mich easier to understand Mme. Cleo... I've also heard from former students of her's that she isn't the best teacher, as far as getting you to learn things goes... Oh, and Heather, the "lab" count was 12, but I might have missed 2, as there were a couple occasions when I wasn't listening carefully, and she could've said it without it being out of context.

This year is really going to suck, especially compared to last year. Lucky Shadow-chan doesn't even go back to school until sometime next month...

Quote of the Day:
"I love Taiki because somebody has to!" - Shadow-chan. And maybe Tsukai
Wheeee.... This has to be the earliest in the day I ever updated my blog.

I go back to school today. No idea what my schedule is, we have a masive activity period at the beginning of the day where we get our schedules, lockers, agendas (which also work as ID. o.O), and basically get used to being in the school building again.

I know what classes I should have: Hon. English 2, Hon. Geometry, (Hon.?) Chem 1, Latin 2, Gym/Keyboarding (Semester classes, no clue as to which I'll have first), Band, and World/American History. (Forget which you take first. I don't like history. Take the one I don't have this year next year.) I just don't know what my schedule'll be.

I'll have info on the day this afternoon, and another Band Camp Update. (Only 3 more! Plus rants about various band/band camp related things to come in the days after I finish what I physically wrote at band camp.)

Ready for Band Camp Update #5? Here it comes!

**New fanfare sequence**

O_O Purrrrrrrrdy....

Seriously, who's making these?

Anyway, written furing checkoff Tuesday.

"We finished "The Best of Times" last night. The (formerly tenative) "Toilet" is the "Seat", and K named the last form "Relief."

Whoa! Sweatdrop flood!

This morning we finished "One More Time, Frankie and Johnny", all 3 forms. It's harder than you think. I take the smallest steps known to man, and I still go too far on the first move! 48 counts to go about three slightly small steps. Whee. Then, we have to remember when the halts end. I never forget, but too many people get used to standing and playing, and foget to move again when it's time. And nobody watches the field commander like they should, she actually motions to move when the halts end! That's not really her job, either, that's how many people were forrgetting to move!

I'm taking the day off, checkoff-wise. I'm ahead on what I have to check off, and I'm feeling lazy.

Today a bunch of last year's seniors (and Rahdica) came to camp. It was nice seeing Preethum and Kelly again. It's nice to know that some saxophones that have higher education know what they're doing. I'm not going to mention any names, *cough*Joe*cough* but the sole upperclassman sax (A Junior, so it'll be him for 2 years. Goody.) sucks.

Preethum gave his umbrella hat to Conti. I can think of better candidates, especially after the shaving cream incident. I you want to know about that, email me. If I get a ton of emails, it'll go up on the site, if not, I'll mail the story. I'd just like to have an idea how many people are reading my blog.

We got "Best Cabin" again. Eric hung his CD player vertically from the shelf above the center bed, with duct tape. The top is clear, so you can see the CD spinning. He has a splitter, so we have 4 speakers hooked up to it, and they're hanging from the rafters by duct tape, two on each half of the cabin. We left "The Best of Times" playing on repeat when we left the cabin. We added a cluster of cans right over the door, and when we put our shoes at attention (like we have to), we put them in a line in front of the center bed. We didn't stack mattresses today, but we left a haiku (Written by me):

The Cabin: a Haiku

The cabin is clean.
It took a lot of hard work.
Dont you think it best?"

And, the inaugural "Quote of the Day":
"Don't follow in my footsteps, I run into a lot of walls." - Author unkown, supplied by Shadow-chan.

Ready for Band Camp Update #4? Here it comes!

**New fanfare sequence**

Woooooooowwwwwww.....

Sorry. When I find out who's in charge of the fanfare sequences, they're going to get a severe beating.

Writen during checkoff on Monday.

"We finished placing "Mirada" last night. We're working on "The Best of Times." The forms in this one tell a story. (In name only) After the "Telephone" (Last form of Mirada) it goes "Tooth", "Apple", "Stomach", "Butt", we bring the "Butt" forward, go to the "Toilet"(tenative, we haven't placed that form yet), and we haven't figured out how to fit the last form in yet. (FSBI: We did. It's in tomorrow's update.)

Yesterday, my cabin was the "Worst (Guy's) Cabin," so we had lunch setup/cleanup duty today. So, today, we hung shoes from a srting in the rafters, a string of cans, hung the trash can above where it usually sits, and piled 6 or 7 matresses on the center bed. We made the springs, and left a long poem for the chaperones. We ended up getting "Best (Guy's) Cabin," which meant we got approx. 50% of the "bribes" (Food left for the chaperones.) the chaperones didn't want. Surprising, considering we left three little containers of cereal from the Dining Hall, (Which the chaperones didn't take, something about "stolen goods.") four "Bit 'O Honey"s, and an orange "Creme Saver."

Oh, about the new layout:

It'll be some time before it's here. The freind of Shadow-chan's who was working on the picture was forced into a Florida vacation, and was unable to contact Shadow-chan until she got back. At the moment, only one of Phi and Chi is drawn. However, Shadow-chan is getting a scanner in about a week ,so things may go faster if she can draw the picture herself.

Who knows.
Non Band Camp Update!

I go back to school on Wednesday! I'm excited but not. School is a great way to stop doing nothing, like I do during the summer, but it also means putting up with the idiots at school. For some reason they assume I want to be popular. I'm happy being my semi-anti social (read: against socializing with idiots [read: half the school]) self. I don't want to be vapid and shallow. I'd rather ramble on about things I care about and be ignored than talk about "hot women" (Read: whores the entertainmen industry passes off as singers/actresses/anything they're not), sex, and sports and be listened to.

Yes, I am a guy.

No, I am not gay.

Stop looking at me like that!
**Hides from all the internet people not believing me**

The Almighty. Pickle: Now look what you did to- Ow! Hey! Stop eating me! OW! Bas-"

**Returns**

You just ate the most important pickle in the world! Don't be surprised when the pickles attack you....

I'm sorry, I really should have less sugar when I'm going to be updating my blog.
Ready for Band Camp Update #3? Here it comes!

**Fanfare sequence**

O_O

Huh? Oh, right. I think I should be okay next time.

Written during checkoff on Sunday.

"We've almost completed the drill for "Mirada". The forms so far are (all preceded by "the") "Basketball Hoop", "Little/Small Pyramid". "Big/Augmented Pyramid", "Relocated Big/Augmented Pyramid", "Teepee", "Louvre", "Box", "Ear", "Eyeball", and "UFO." None of them really look like their name, except for the pyramids. Theoretically. The diagonals are never straight. Tonight we finish placing the drill and add music."

Short update, ne? What can I say, I was tired. It takes a little bit to get used to the grueling band camp schedule.

Ready for Band Camp Update #2? Here it comes!

**Fanfare sequence**

Oooooo...

I'll get used to that sometime. You really ought to see it!

This was written sometime between evening practice and the dance, between 9:30 and 10.

"Dinner was more edible than lunch. The peaches and carrots were normal.

Practice was... Interesting. I'm not sure if I'm going to be more annoyed or amused by the person next to me in all the drills. (FSBI: After a week, I can safely say that I'll be going through marching season much more annoyed than I was last year. At least I'm by Zach and Bob, and we can all yell at Joe. He doesn't care, so it's a great way to vent.)

We placed 4 forms today (FSBI: Out of the many we'll learn this year. The percussion feature has like, 20 forms.), which is harder than it sounds, you place, check your spot, move to the previous form, move, check your spot, repeat, repeat, place, check your spot, etc... If you aren't on a yard line or hash mark, it's hard to judge where you're going, especially in curves and big moves.

I'm about to go to the nightly dance (FSBI: And except for the occasional good song [Like Smile D.K.'s version of Butterfly. ^__^], they weren't all that good, but the DJ was in my cabin, so I know that we tried to pick music with a dancing beat, it's just that bandos don't make the greatest dance-goers.). Should be fun, even if I don't dance. (FSBI: Most of the others were better...) I'm sure the cabin will be up long after lights out. (FSBI: It was)

Fun. (FSBI: It was. Although at 1 AM, things get a lot funnier. We actually laighed at "A man walked into a bar and said 'ouch.'" o.O)"
Ready for Band Camp Update #1? Here it comes!

**Fanfare sequence**

Oooooo... Pretty.....

**Blinks**

Oh, right, the update.

This was written Satuday afternoon, during checkoff time, somewhere between 3:30 and 5:30.

"I've only been here a few hours, and I've already spent a lot of time on the field. Haven't learned any forms for the drills yet, we just worked on the basics, and the block drill. I hate the block drill, it's so... boring. I really hate traversing. It hurts my back, which is screwed up enough already.

Lunch was almost inedible. There was good applesauce, but I don't like tater tots or corn dogs. Apparently the corn dogs were bad anyway, so... And the fact that salad was edible doesn't count, it's at all the meals but breakfast.

Heather and Shannon ate with chopsticks. There's nothing quite like seeing a freind eat tater tots with chopsticks. Especially when they dip them in ketchup.

I miss AE already. There're going to be a ton of posts when I get back. It'll take forever to read them all but it'll be fun. ^__^ (Future self butting in: I was right about the number of posts, but VesVes' posts weren't all that fun to read.)

I like my cabin. 13 bunks + 7 people = plenty of storage space. (FSBI: 8 people, I wrote that wrong. I forgot to count myself.) I learned from lats year. (When I was in the same cabin.) I brought a lot of food.

The camp itself is actually pretty nice, when you aren't out on the feild sweating like a pig or being mercilessly attacked by bugs. Right now I'm sitting in the shade, writing, and it's really nice. (FSBI: The staff is cool, too. Especially Chip. He drove over to the school and stopped by for a little yesterday, before the football game. He couldn't stay, though. He said he'd be at the Edison [his old school] game.)

More later.

Awww, what the heck:

**Pose**

Happy Dance! Yeah!"

I've written more about Saturday, but I'll update with that later.
I'm baaaaaaaack! ^_^ I have lots of updates to give you, and I think the best way to do it is write what I wrote last Saturday at band camp today, Sunday tomorrow, Monday Monday, etc... There'll be more band camp info and rants, but those'll be written when I feel like it. ~_^

I was back yesterday, but I didn't have time to update the blog, I was too busy catching up at AE to update before I had to go perform at the football game. I was very tired when I got home, and went right to sleep.

Saturday, August 18, 2001

Well, I leave within the hour! Wheeee! I get to see all the widdle fweshmans purdy faces! ^_~ (Believe me, if you know the ritual, that makes sense.) It'l be fun, and I'll tell everyone all about it when I get back.

Friday, August 17, 2001

Darn. Almost thought there was another "bad" word on the tape. Merle is in a room with Hitomi, and they've both got fevers, and Merle looks rapidly at Hitomi, then away, the Hitomi, then away, etc., then thinks something. The first time I heard it I thought it was "Why'd I get stuck with a bitch?!", referring to Hitomi, but it is, in fact "Why I get stuck with the bench?!" referring to the fact that Hitomi is on a bed, and Merke is on a bench with sheets. Oh well, that's more Merle-ish anyway.

I go to band camp tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! I'll take somthing with me to write in every day, so that when I come back, I don't forget to tell you something important.

Wheeeee!!!!!! Happy dance!!!!

Happy Dance! Yeah!

Thursday, August 16, 2001

I've finished watching the whole video, and I'm very happy! ^__^ A little sad because it'll be forever before I have the money to buy the next one, but still happy! Especially because Allen says "Damn!" I'd be even happier (At some point in my life, as this would've happened long ago...) if FOX Kids had left that in, but noooo, even though all the little kids in the US know all the "bad" words and how they're used, they can't hear them on TV! Especially not on an animated show, because animation cannot have serious content, it must be cartoony!

Sorry, that's one of the few things I can really rant about, but I'll save it for sometime later.

Oh, and I LEAVE FOR BAND CAMP IN TWO DAYS!!!!! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY JOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! ^__^
Oh, I forgot to mention, I discovered that there's a Suncoast in my local mall. ^__^

Oh, and no news on the picture for the layout. Shadow-chan han't seen her freind since the other day while she was drawing the picture. Once she gets it, she'll have to color it. Her freind's afraid she'd get it wrong.

Wednesday, August 15, 2001

I've been gone most of the day so far. My family went to Strongsville to do back-to-school clothes shopping. I stopped in Suncoast and got the first Escaflowne uncut dub VHS. I wanted the DVD, but since our only DVD player is the DVD-ROM in our computer, and my mom didn't want me "tying up the computer" (Even though I'm always on it anyway...), I had to get the VHS. I'm still happy about it though! Although one does wonder what the point of getting a DVD-ROM is, if nobody can use it....

Tuesday, August 14, 2001

Wow. A ton of people are helping me with the layout of my blog, and one doesn't even know who I am. Shadow-chan is getting help from Tsukai-chan, and we decided to base the layout on Sailor Chi and Sailor Phi. So... Shadow-chan has a freind drawing a picture of the two right now, and apparently Phi's face was too babyish for some time. It may still be now. When I get the new layout, I'm hoping to get some links and stuff in the sidebar. I may have two, one with Phi and one with Chi. We're still working on it. I'd do the Happy Dance, but I'm overusing it. ~_^
Ready for the new and improved Happy Dance? Here goes:

Ahhhh, the wonders of insomnia. I was up until long after 2AM last night. My parents sent me to bed at 11:30. 11:30? Hey! that's when my little brother woke me up this morning by repeately trying to open my locked bedroom door! I never realized how loud that door was until today...

4 days to band camp! Wheeeee! /^.^/\^.^\|^.^| **Pose** Yeah!

Oh, and it may be a long time before I get a layout from Shadow-chan. Like I said, it'll be her first, and she's finding it harder to do than she thought it would be.

Monday, August 13, 2001

As my freind Heather puts it best, life in Sandusky sucks. I quote from her blog:

"Sandusky Sucks

Ahhh summer in Sandusky. Has a certain ring to it eh? Well anyone who lives here can tell you that the ring is very muffled and quiet. I'm starting to think that Sandusky is one of those creepy haunted towns you read about in books or see on tv, one of those towns that suck the life out of all of it's inhabitants and becomes a living, breathing thing all on it's own. For those of you who don't know Sandusky, it's America's "Rockin roller coast". Sounds fun, yeah yeah yeah, kinda like a rock CONCERT right? WRONG! It's all about the roller coasters. (slogan's a little more clever now eh?) Cedar Point, the worlds best amusement park is located here, in this tiny Ohio town. Why would I be bored out of my friggen mind then? Tourists ruin it all. All the splendor and glory having an amusement park to your own is taken away by 4.5 million tourists who rush everywhere, trying to cram as much fun as legally possible into a 13 hour time span. 2 million cars parked outside of your street, blocking you from getting to the only safe haven, the mall. Most of us teenagers truthfully believe that life would be so much better if it were spent outside the city limits. And you would think that with so many people coming here all the time we would have a cofee shop or a movie theatre that plays semi-intelligent films. But that would be nonsense right? So OF COURSE we don't. Stupid dreamers..."
Wheeee! I'm getting help on the layout from Shadow-chan! I'm so happy! I don't know when I'll have a new layout, as this'll be her first, but it'll be here sometime! Happy dance time! /^.^/\^.^\|^.^| **Pose** Yeah!
I just got back from the eye doctor, and my pupils are the size of dinner plates. My eyes are better, and now both eyes have the same perscription, so nothing'll look weird if I put my left contact in my right eye, or vice versa. Doesn't really matter since I rarely wear them, but it's nice to know.

I also made a new freind. I talked to Shadow-chan for somewhere between 5 and 6 hours yesterday. She's pretty cool, and funny. Funny being more important to me. Because of her, I discovered the web comic As If. I also learned the happy dance:

/^.^/\^.^\|^.^|

Happy dance!!! That's not to be confused with my happy jig, Shadow-chan. ^_~

Sunday, August 12, 2001

There was an article in the local newspaper yesterday about how a dog was left outside and died due to the heat. That confused me a little, because I live in northern Ohio. It's not supposed to get that hot around here. It's possible to get that hot in an unventilated car, but not outside. The really sad part is, the owners discovered the dog was dead when they went outside to give it some water.

On a completely unrelated note: Less than a week 'til band camp! I'll be gone for a week, but then I'll have a huge post for all you reader-people. After that, the posts should be nore interesting, as school starts the Wednesday after band camp, and I'll be very active, especially after work starts on the fall play.

Saturday, August 11, 2001

Gee, it's been four days since my request, and I haven't gotten a tiny morsel of help. I feel so loved....

**Takes back advance thanks.**

You don't deserve it, so nyah! >P

Oh, and as far as my life goes, nothing interesting. There was a meeting about the band season in general this morning, but it focused on band camp. One week! I'm so happy! Ican't wait! Oh, and because of button pictures, I got to see the new uiniforms on people. They're very spiffy.

Did I just say spiffy? DARN YOU ANGELUS ERRARE PEOPLE!!!! XD But thank you for teaching me XD, XP, and most importantly, o.O

Friday, August 10, 2001

Well, I found out that there are 2 Snoopys, and even though my freind was working when I was at Cedar Point, it wasn't her I saw. Oh well. Nothing else to say but 8 days to band camp.

Oh, and thanks for the immense amount of help I got.

Tuesday, August 07, 2001

Today the county fair started. I don't know when I'm going, it'll be going on 'til sunday. I'm really updating to ask for help with the page. I'm a complete novice, and I want to put some stuff in the sidebar, but have no idea how. If anybody could help, it would be greatly appreciated. If you're a member of Angelus Errare, you can PM me, if not, you can use the link in the bar up there to email me. Thanks in advance!

Sunday, August 05, 2001

I was at Cedar Point most of today. It's the local amusement park, and it's been voted best in the world for five years straight by some group of amusement park officianados. So why do I get bored so quick every time I go there?

One of my freinds works there in costume as Snoopy. I wasn't able to tell if it was her i the costume today, though. I doubt it, because if it were her, she would've hugged me instead of shaking my hand.

The lines were long, and it was hot, so today will not go up there on my list of favorite times there. I did like my visit during the first halloweekends when I got a Tarot reading. I'm definitely going this year, Halloweekends are much more fun than the regular season.

13 days 'til band camp! I can't wait! I know I sound like a loser for saying that, but it's fun! And this year, I won't have to go through all of the crap they put the freshman and new band members through. Wait... That means no pacifier... Oh well, I can still steal some of thegood baby food. Until then, it's back to tedium.

Saturday, August 04, 2001

Hi everybody! I warn all you readers ahead of time that this blog will not be the best you've ever seen. It's my first webpage/blog/anything-that-reqires-some-skill-and-knowledge-that-you-put-on-the-internet. A special hi to the people from Angelus Errare, as they'll be the only ones reading this for a little while, I'm sure.

Nothing much has happened to me lately, swim team at the local swim club ended Tuesday. The banquet was Thursday, and I was awarded the "Top Rookie" award, even though it's my second year on the team. O.o I go to band camp in a couple weeks, then school stars. Yay...

I guess that, this being my first message to you guys, I should tell you a little about meself. I'm a guy, 14 (Almost 15, less than a month to go!), supposedly smart, but the only subject I know I'm good at is math. I like swimming, but won't be on the high school team, for a few reasons. I'm on the track team, in the band (duh), on the Academic(ly) Challenge(d) team, and like writing (I've got 3 chapters of a book done, and poeple have said it was good. People I know to well to trust on that, but people.) I'm a bit on the stupid side, as far as I act, but everybody at my school is like that, you're not normal if you act completely sane. I think I'll shut up for now.
