Still not dead, but I've moved on.

I'm Not Dead! And School.

I'd write about band camp, but it was my senior year there, and that made everything personal in such a way that nobody who hasn't experienced a senir year there will ever get. (Although I'm contemplating play-ifying nights in Cabin 2)

School started Friday (Don't ask why, it just did.) I like my classes, but the schedule is Fucked Up. They had to add another period so that freshmen could take the social studies class they now need, which made classes too short for lab classes to get the required time in lab, so they extended the lunch periods ofver period 5 and 6, so that one could have lunch, a class, and a study hall which could be used to extend lab class time. But... There was no way that all the lab classes could be scheduled to be during periods 4 and 7, so we now have a Fucking. Rotating. Schedule. Words do not describe. It isn't confusing, I'll get used to it, etc... It's just the principle of the whole thing.

And band luch got split up because band is 5B and 6C (concecutive periods, by the way. The lunches are 5A, 5B, 6C, and 6D), and some people have morning lab class, and some afternoon. And I know a person who took two lab classes that wound up adjacent to the extra time on the same day, so she has morning lab class, band, afternoon lab, no lunch one day a (rotating) week.

"Buy Jesus now for Nine ninety nine and get Jacob absolutely free!" - A UK ad for dramatized Bible stories. I, unfortunately did not actually see the ad in question, just read the quote. But that, my friend, is more than enough.

IM-ing + AOL ad on TV = annoying! And Dy-no-myte!

Given his "I Love the '80s" commentary and now the "I Love the '70s" ad, Michael Ian Black is my new TV boyfriend.

Sark is still of the hot, but he's not of the real people, so he doesn't count in that category.

Tired! And Musicality!

So yesterday, I was at swim practice, and felt like falling asleep in the middle of a lap was a real possibility, so I skip the last part of an early set and hang on the side of the pool.

I end up on the wall, half asleep, until cool down. But I wasn't tired anymore.

Quote of the Day:
"Woman-whose-name-I-forget: [I play auction bridge well, do you want to play?]
Man-also-of-the-forgotten-name: Madam! where's your sense of occasion? I understand that you've just lost your husband!
Woman: Yes... But not at cards." - Act I Finale of the Titanic musical. (Much better than the movie, if the dialogue is as good as the music. I haven't seen it, just got the cast recording because a teacher played it in class a few times a few years back and I loked it and had the opportunity to get it cheap.)

Ow! And Stupidity

Yesterday, I bruised the bone in my hand when it hit a slide hanging over the edge of the pool I was swimming in (or at least bruised very muchly deeply in), got a long scratch (deep, for a scratch) on my leg from a sharp-ish edge from where something I was using at work broke weeks ago (It works fine still, but part of it snapped off 'cause it was metal and mostly rusted through where it snapped), and minorly electrocuted myself because the wire I grabbed had more wire exposed at the end than most do (because, I suppose it had slipped out of the switch it usually was secured in).

MY question is this: Which fate did I piss off, and how?

Who in their Right Mind Thinks that High School Students Will Test Best on a Saturday Morning? And SAT Scores

I got my SAT results yesterday. 710 in both math and verbal. That, with a 34 ACT, a slightly above 4.0 GPA, and involvement in school activities, means that so long as I don't completely ass up any essays, I can pretty much get into whatever college I want.

Whee.

Title! And Quote!

Quote of the Day:
"It must be a Transcendental penny. It doesn't want to be with the others." - Me, when some of the exact change I was paying rolled off.
